E-Portfolio Framework

What is it?

The E-Portfolio of candidates looking for work is based on the FML (Functie Mogelijkheden Lijst) as used by the UWV in the Netherlands. It is an authorised overview of someone's (dis)abilities. With this basis, we created an 'ability profile' that is filled in by the candidate himself (or by a support person, e.g. a job coach).

How does it work

For the demand side of the labour market (the employers looking for people), the same FML was taken as a basis. They also fill in, for the job for which they are looking for someone, what capabilities someone must have in order to fill this vacancy properly.

 

In this way, supply (the candidate or jobseeker) and demand (vacancy) are once again in balance. A candidate is not matched by the Platform with vacancies that do not match his/her disability, but is WELL matched with all other vacancies where his/her disability does not play a role. And thus the chance of being invited for a job application is just as high as for someone without disabilities. Because the candidate's disability no longer plays a role in those vacancies!
