Why?

What we want in this European project

Wouldn't it be great if:

- people with disabilities had the same confidence in finding jobs as people without them?
- jobseekers with disabilities and employers found each other as easily as in the 'normal' labour market?
- employers had a realistic picture of people with disabilities as people who can contribute just as well as people without limitations?

We are committed to all people who face obstacles, barriers and limitations to make their dreams come true. Sometimes it is a personal disability, sometimes it is not a condition or personal disability at all, but a prejudice or even laws they face.


Many people with disabilities still have no, or greatly reduced, access to the open labour market. It does not seem to be the unwillingness of employers, but rather their ignorance of the possibilities and the inability of disabled people to present themselves properly.


One of the main reasons why people with disabilities do not find suitable jobs is that they do not know how to present themselves in order to be considered for the jobs (that are sometimes specially created for them).


In the long term

We hope and expect that this platform will improve the position of people with disabilities at the regular labour market. It will improve the self-confidence of people with disabilities to enter the labour market and it will open the eyes of employers to a whole new group of skilled workers. And it needs to happen across Europe.
